I love the funky 80's vibes in Charlie Puth's pop rock song, Attention. But I'm not a fan of the lyrics, so I decided to make my own Christian version of the song. Instead of Attention, I called it: Redemption. I hope you enjoy my rendition!

My Lyrics:

I’ve been runnin’ round, runnin’ round, runnin’ round
All the while trying to hide the pain
Cause I knew that I, knew that I, knew that I had messed up

You've been going round, going round, going round,
Saving the pieces that remained
Cause you knew that I, knew that I, knew that I lost it all

And I know that sin is vicious
Comes with regret
It's difficult to let go of my pride
And now I'm slowly falling, my silhouette
The world keeps saying I should compromise

But I just need redemption
I don’t need their love
Why do I keep turning my face away from the truth?
I just need redemption
Set my mind above
Need to change my focus back to what is good and true

I've been runnin' round, runnin' round, runnin' round
All the while building up my shame
Cause I knew that I, knew that I, knew that I went too far
You've been going round, going round, going round every place that I can name
Cause you knew that I, knew that I, knew that I'd try to run

(Chorus)

What I am doing?
What am I doing, ah?
X4

I know that You still love me, I can't forget
It's hard to break the chain of guilt inside
And now I'm slowly sinking into the sand
The world keeps filling my head with more lies (*sigh*)

Chorus

What am I doing?
What am I doing, ah?
x2

What are we doing?
What are we doing, ah?
x2
